Akemond TSK series resistance strain gauges are made by winding constantan or nickel-chromium wires with a diameter of Φ=0.02-0.05mm into a grid shape (or etching very thin metal foils into a grid shape) and sandwiching them between two layers of insulating thin sheets (substrates). They are mainly used as components for measuring strain. Its base is mainly composed of polyimide and Constantin foil. Silver-plated copper wire is connected to the strain gauge wire grid as the resistance sheet lead wire. It features a fully sealed structure, self-compensation for temperature, high elongation, good resistance to moisture and heat, excellent resistance insulation performance, a wide operating temperature range, and can be connected to a bridge to measure the strain value caused by force. It is suitable for precise stress analysis in various complex environments. It can convert the changes in strain on mechanical components into changes in resistance.

1. Types of Strain Gauges:

By axial direction: single-axis strain gauges, double-axis strain gauges and triple-axis strain gauges.

A biaxial strain gauge is actually two uniaxial strain gauges stacked perpendicularly at 90°.

A triaxial strain gauge is actually a strain gauge composed of three uniaxial strain gauges stacked at 0°, 45°, and 90° respectively.

2. Working Principle of Strain Gauges:

The signals of strain gages are balanced through the Wheatden bridge module and can be converted into corresponding voltage signals. After passing through the analog/digital circuits inside the tester, the voltage signals can be converted into digital signals, and then these signals are captured and analyzed by dedicated software.
